THOUSANDS EXPECTED AT 8 th ANNUAL REGGAE CARIFEST CONCERT

Brooklyn, New York: The weeks of planning, the preparation and anticipation for the 8th annual Reggae Carifest 2005 concert the biggest one-day tri-state area reggae festival - will come to head on Sunday, July 10th 2005 when the event unfolds at Randalls Island Park, NYC.

The event is expected to attract thousands of fans who will be eager to see top acts like Buju Banton, Matisyahu, Luciano, Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Merciless, I-Wayne, Bascom X, Causion, Supachile, Murasaki, Bunji Garlin, Assassin, Kafu Banton, El Feco, Marlon Asher and others perform.

We have booked the best reggae, soca and dancehall acts for this years festival, event organizer Junior Burton was quoted as saying .

"We h ave done all the preliminary work to make sure everything is right from a production point of view and to ensure the event is a memorable one for patrons.

Burton noted the event will commence at 1pm sharp and all the acts will perform as per the schedule.

This is important so patrons dont have to deal with long breaks throughout the show he said.

With the legions of reggae lovers expected to converge at Randalls Island , the promoters are urging everyone to purchase their tickets early. Tickets are currently $40 - general admission and $65 for VIP seating until July 9 th and can be purchased online at www.reggaecarifest.com and other outlets in the tri-state area. Gates will open at noon while the on stage activities will commence at 1 pm sharp.
